As a returning Microstation user, I am having trouble with the text direction when dimensioning. I am dimensioning a line that is at an obtuse angle and when I set the dimension, the direction turns around 180 degrees (i.e., faces the right side of the sheet instead of the left side).
What setting would I change i nthe Dimension Styles dialog to make the text show up on the left side of the dimension exclusively??
This forum has been a GREAT help to me, and I thank everyone whi has had any sort of input on my questions. As I said above, I am returning to Microstation after not using it for about 4 years, and the questions abound!!
Under the Dimension Style, what do you have:
Text (tab)\Format\Location
set to?
When dimensioning with the alignment set to true, the text will fall to the right side of the vertical after 90.81 degrees. Typical for drafting standards plus or minus a couple of degrees. However if you rotate your view along the line past 90 dgrees then dimension the line, then return the unrotated view the dimension will retain the text to the left of the vertical 90 degree line.
