Text underlining issue. How to increase the space btw text and line.

I am using Roman font. When I select underline icon in the text dialog box, the line is too close to text. It's actually touching the text. But then I found a setting in change text attribute dialog box. If I check the underline box and select enable, this will leave a bit of space between the text and underline. But it is still not enough. Any way to increase that space? thanks.

Are you using a Text Style (that is different than just a Text Font)? If not, you might want to consider doing so... there is an Under/Overline tab in the Text Styles dialog that might help you.

Yes I am using a text style. I found the underline tab, that was what I was looking for. thank.

I guess the underline icon (in text editor dialog box) is only useful if you are not using text styles?
