Find/Replace tool slow

Is it possible to set the Find/Replace text tool to only search data in the current model and not include any text in attached reference files? I am using the tool to 'locate' roads and want to only search road names in my model: not include house numbers which are in a referenced file. If I include both the search is unbearably slow. Any ideas?

Have you tried turning locate off for the reference files.
If locate is turned off for the reference the find text function will not see these text items even though they are still visible.

I tried that but the search time was no better. If I turn the house number level off the search speed is good.

I'm having the same problem here. But I do not have referenced files Really, Really Slow.

Any solution yet?

Have you tried the SS2 beta yet? We've had to add a failsafe to not attempt to cluster your results when the number of text elements is very high. The order of results won't be as nice as it would be otherwise, but it should make it more usable on large files.
