Hello,
I have to analyze several .CEL files (a lot in fact !), created by different people from different places. All are in V8 Edition 2004 format. The target is to create a unique cell libraries by selecting the best existing cells. So, I need to know which cells are in each cell libraries. Does a method, or a tool, exist for printing cell libraries, showing the cell and its name ? (PDF, paper, JPG, ...)
I know the CELL SELECTOR tool, but it doesn"t help me as it doesn't print.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Sébastien
Another 'can't believe' :)
There is a function implemented in MicroStation called 'place Cell Index'. With this function you can create a index drawing of the current cell library inside the default model of such a cell library - the result is a overview inside the library itself that can be updated with changeable parameters according size and distance of the cells to be drawn.

One method I recommend is to create a print set consisting of the models in a cell library. Remember that in V8 cells are simply Models in a V8DGN file and Print Organizer in MicroStation V8i gives you an easy way to gather all of them up and print them to a standard sheet. You can also use the advanced settings to control layout, symbology and page setup.
