We at MDSHA created custom call out bubbles for our drainage structures. These bubbles have a fill (bg color) that covers any drawing elements underneath them. They used to work just fine in 2004 and XM. I am using V8i SS1 now and I cann't see the text inside the bubble unless the fill is turned off, however a collegue who is using 2004 can view them alright. The display setting is set to wireframe. Anyone has any idea what needs to be set in V8i display setting to solve this issue?
Try this:
This will mimic the display of MicroStation versions prior to XM. In XM this would have been accomplished by setting the variable MS_LEGACYDRAWORDER to 1 in a configuration file, and this would be applied to all files opened with that configuration. In V8i, this is accomplished in each individual model and each individual file using display styles.
Note that this must be performed in a Design model. Sheet models do not permit the selection of a display style. If necessary, you can set this display style for reference attachments. In the References dialog, select Set Reference Presentation tool (the cube-shaped icon to the left of the Detach Reference icon and Hilite Mode selector).

That was very helpful Larry. This was exactly the answer I was looking for. Thanks a lot.
