Hi all,
I am noticing an issue with V8i SS1 08.11.07.180. When I use the keyboard mapping functions to activate text tools it is very slow.
If I use the keyboard A 2 to invoke the place note tool it takes a minute for the text editor window to come up. However, if I use the mouse and click on the place note icon the text editor window opens imediately. This seems to only be the case with the text tools. Has anyone else noticed this also????

It happens for me even if I click the tool icon. It only occurs on the first instance, though. Anytime after the first that I activate the place text command it opens instantly.

This happens constantly to me but only if I use the keyboard. I never had an issue clicking the icon. Hopefully someone has a fix.
Maybe it has something to do with InRoads being installed?????

The problem you mentioned is not reproducible at our end. Could you please tells us,
1. Which OS you are using?
2. Which release version of InRoads you are using?

We are not able to reproduce this problem at our end.
could you please try it on plain MicroStation with delivered workspace and no vertical or add on application?
Let us know if the problem persists.
If you could not able to reproduce then it can be something related to vertical application.
Well I have been able to test this on a machine without InRoads installed. I installed Microstation and tried using the keyboard commands to invoke the text tools and I still had the "lag".
This is unique case and we are not able to reproduce at our end.
