I am using Microstation V8i Select Series 1 (08.11.07.180) with Inroads (08.11.07.246) and Geopak (08.11.05.39) ready to load. When I try to setup a text style I find that Microstation font, AutoCad fonts and TrueType fonts are available for the style. I have tried everything I can find to point Microstation to a font folder that only contains TrueType fonts. Help says:
To distribute RSC fonts, their appropriate resource (.RSC) file must be included and placed in a directory found by MS_FONTPATH. To distribute TrueType or SHX fonts, the appropriate SHX or TTF font file must be included, and either placed in a directory found by MS_FONTPATH, or in the same directory as the design file.
I have pointed MS_FONTPATH to a folder on a server that does not contain RSC fonts or SHX fonts. It is still showing all of the fonts from my C drive when I open Microstation. When a SHX font show in the style manager the same named TTF font will not display. I am trying to make a style using RomanS.TTF. The romans.shx is the only one that shows.
Where do I find the configuration setting to correct the display of the fonts?
MicroStation V8i auto-hides fonts of the same name. Perhaps this explains what you're seeing on-screen. Please refer to the following wikis for additional information on this new feature:
