I have placed some notes with leaders. How do I move the text without moving the terminator? I've tried the modify tool, the move tool and grips but none of these methods work.

You should be able to use the move tool. Make sure you do not have graphic group on. Click on the move command click on the text and it should move the text but leave the end of the terminator in place. If GG is on it will move the text and leader together.

I didn't know leaders were Graphic Groups. Turning off the lock solved the problem. Thanks!

I didn't know that either. Thanks mw!
EDIT: Hmm, it's not working. I turned the Graphic Group off, but the text is still linked with the leader and won't move independently. Is there another setting or something else that has to be on/off?
Neil,
You can also move the text using the selection tool and drag it to where you want without having to toggle graphic group lock.
Jeff Text stays linked. Depends on what you grab to move. Are you hitting the text or the leader?
If you are wanting to move the text away from the leader you won't be able to do that with the move tool. The way to do that is by adjusting the margins in the DIMSTYLE settings, or by dropping the leader to graphics. Unlike Autocad, there is no way that I know of to move the text relative to the leader.
