Is there a way to customize the contents of this pull down? I would like to thin it out a bit and remove the scales that our company does not use.
Thanks,
HI Terry
Have a look in the Workspace/system/data folder and in there is a scales.def file. Edit it with Notepad and simply remove the scales you do not need.
Ian
Excellent. Thank you, sir.

Glad this popped up. Just tried this out and appears to be OK.
Broadly speaking, streamlining the interface by removing stuff (menus, lists, tools, features and such) is something we could (sorely) do with.
This would seem to relate a couple of other threads

Do you not feel the System/data folder could do with a bit of 'cleaning up'? Not to most understandable 'mixed bag' of contents, particularly to the non CAD specialist
Maybe I'll raise this in another thread

Hi Danny
I generally copy the bits from the System folder I require and place them in the Standards folder and configure MicroStation to suit. Thus, making MicroStation suit my clients requirements. This also allows the System folder to remain as installed.

Personally, try and avoid editing any of the installed files or directories. A little effort up front will give you a LOT of room to move with your builds. Check out:
