I've attached tow images showing my problem. The first image is v8. The second image is out of v8i. In v8 it comes out normal, in v8i it is filled in. The text in question is buried within a border cell and I cannot for the life of me figure out what is causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The only thing I can think of is that it is not actually Text, but the Text was dropped into shapes and the O was a Group Hole, where it's definition was read differently between V8 and V8i.
I Hope this Helps!
V8i is not quite as forgiving with RSC fonts as V8 was; we've had to make several changes to ensure that complex glyphs (e.g. for Asian languages) render correctly; this means that some existing glyphs may draw differently. If you post the RSC library with the offending font in it, I can see if that's your problem, and can likely clean up the font for use across versions.
gfradar you are correct, after further investigation I found that the "O" in question was actually a set of bsplines which for some reason are being read differently between v8 and v8i. I've tried messing with various settings but nothing seems to change it. It does the same thing in Microstation xm. Knowing that does anyone have any suggestions for changing bspline settings?
Try changing the direction of one of your B-splines using the REVERSE CURVE tool. The outer B-spline should have counter-clockwise rotation and the inner spline clockwise rotation, I think.

To avoid the Grouped Hole issue between versions, try making the O a single filled shape. You may also find the same issue with other letters (QRPADB) with a hole in it.
