This command doesn't seem to work in V8i Select Series 1
Also doesn't seem to work for me when working from ProjectWise.
Any thoughts?
Hello Rob,
Have you checked for the filename: cfgvlong.txt in the folder of the file that was active when you entered that keyin?
Hope this is of help.
Best regards,
Henk
Thanks Henk, that pushed out the config definitions listing but not our config environment with our site variables...

If I'm not mistaken, that utility only deals standard variables that it knows about. Custom variables, add-on variables and even some special Bentley variables are not reported on. Only a -debug command line switch will list all variables as MicroStation Starts. You might need to create a custom VBA to report on variables in mid-session.

Thanks dude,
I am trying to establish the environment once inside MS because my environment seems to load differently to the debug.
All I can suggest, is to figure out which variables you need to examine and either create a VBA to write therm out to a text file, or possibly us a script and the expand echo keyins to write them to the message center. You might need to bore down into multiple levels if one variable is defined based upon another variable.

This Configuration Verifier may help. It's a VBA project, including source code, that verifies that a CfgVar is correctly defined.
It works by checking that the file or folder pointed to by a CfgVar actually exists. It helps solve the problem created when we think we have defined something correctly but made an invisible spelling mistake (e.g. MS_CELL = V:/cells/ not MS_CELL = V:/cell/)
