Is there a way for MicrostationV8i to export text symbols. If so, is there a way in Excel to import symbols.
I would like to use the MicroStation Baseline symbol (BL overlapping) in an Excel spreadsheet. Then link the spreadsheet to a Microstation dgn file.
Possible?
In Excel go to Insert>Symbols>Symbol, Select FDOT Mono in the Font selector, Select Currency Symbols in the Subset selector. Select the Base Line symbol and click Insert.
Where would I find FDOT Mono? Is that a standard Windows font? If not, where would I get it?

The FDOT fonts are installed when the FDOT workspace is installed.
So...they're only applicable to work with the Florida DOT...Not delivered with MicroStation or any Microsoft product. So they are not a universal solution...
Florida has had very good standards for a long time. A lot of us aren't so lucky.
Yes, our Ohio standards are well kept as well, but they definitely author unique content. I've never found a good standard TTF with the common roadway symbols. Some day.
