I'm having some difficulty locating the ability to define the length of the "extension" coming out of a dimension line (see below) when placing a small-width dimension. I am unable to find the correct setting in the Dimension Styles to alter this, and I would like to control it in my .dgnlib so that my users are consistent with the dimensioning. I would like to avoid having to drop each dimension in order to lengthen that pesky little line. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
Under the Geometry Tab go to the Fit Options check on Min Leader and give it a value.

As mike shows
The Min. Leader has a two fold purpose: It sets the minimum distance it uses to determine if the text (and/or terminators) are inside or outside (fit between) the witness lines (depending on the Text /Terminator option chosen), and it also uses the length (in Text Width Units) for the line for that extension.
I Hope this Helps!
Worked like a charm! I found that setting this value to 2 or greater gave a nice, proportional length.
It would be very helpful if Bentley provided a few sample dimensions in their Help documentation that were labeled as to what each width/height/length/etc. meant!
