I find this really annoying that if you dimension a 3d model and go back and modify the solid you lose association.
I run across this mostly when I use the "Modify Solid Entity" tool
Taper face, cut solids by curves...
I can understand certain modification that would cut a face of chamfer but not all dimensions should be lost
So when you modify a solid in some fashion does it totally replace the geometry? That's the only reason I can see this happening.
Nope, never filed one. Although I did once write up specifically why I don't files CR's and ST's. But that was promptly deleted by the moderator.
Seems to me to be a rather obvious method. If you know it is broke, and where it is broken, why just say it is broke, why not also show where it is broken?

Dimension audit is a lot of clicks and picks to pin down 1 bad association point in a string. Reassociate doesn't tell you where its broke of if the re-association is to the proper element.
On the other hand if you displayed only the offending association you can fix it with 3 clicks Modify Element, Id extension, and a snap.
You may want to file a ChangeRequest on this idea. Why should I bother to say anything?
Create a new post starting the subject with CR: ... - to allow better searching for CRs.
For the time being I think the dimension audit does a great job because it also zooms to each issue and allows a direct correcting in place.

On this same subject. It would be much better to "dash" or ID only the broke part of the association not show the entire string as disassociated. I often have only one point on a dimension string that get broken. A quick modify is the fastest way to fix it but I never know which point is broken.
