I am missing font #8 - Helvetica_Medium. It seems that i am missing a good number of other fonts as well. Please help with this prob. Thanks

Were the missing fonts also available in Microsoft Office?
If yes, then the fonts are installed via windows font installer.
Did you recently get a new computer?
If yes, then my guess the fonts were installed via windows and went away with your old computer.

Thank you all. I appreciate the advice. I am using Microstation V8i. I was able to solve the problem.
I had an rsc file that had the font i needed, but was clueless on how to install it.
The steps to install RSC riles.
Workspace > Configuration > Symbology
Click Symbology Resources and press Select
A window should pop up so you can select the RSC file and click done.
You will have to restart microstation in order to use the newly loaded fonts.
I've been using TTF since we moved to V8. Before that, we used Bentley delivered RSC fonts. We didn't import any TTF to RSC. Everything has worked fine from V8 to 8.5 to XM to 8i SS2. It's only in 8i SS3 that I can't "find" Tahoma, Verdana and a handful of other TTF.

No. I guess we've been in blissful ignorance. We don't even have a font XML file (I looked). I wouldn't even know how to write an XML file. Isn't one delivered?
If it's the same exact setup, I can't think of a reason why SS2 would see fonts that SS3 doesn't...

We may have just not noticed the behavior on SS2...
