Lately I have been using V8 2004 (not by choice) and when editing text I am able to dbl click text and edit it then, if I choose to, I can continue on to another piece of text. But in V8i that is not the case. I can dbl click text and edit it (as usual) but now after editing text I have to completly exit the edit process to edit another piece of text. Is this by default/design?
Is there a setting I can change that will allow me to edit text continuously?

I don't understand what you mean by "completely exit the edit process".
From the Element Selection tool you can double click on a text element to start the Edit Text tool. Once you accept or reset, control goes back to the Element Selection tool so you can double click another element to edit. You can also start the Edit Text tool directly (A3 if you use position mapping) if you want it to remain active until you explictly start another tool...

you are exactly correct.
What I am saying is in V8 2004 once I accept I can go to another piece of text and continue editing.
I DON'T want the control to go back the Element Selection tool. I want to just go to the next text and edit it.
