Hello all,
Is there a way to override the level display of a nested reference? So for example:
I have open File A. File A is referencing file B which has a nested reference File C. While I'm in File A, can I change the level override of File C? Or do I have to go into File B to change the override for File C.
Thank you.
Hi,
if you set MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS = 1, you can change (override) level setting in the nested references.

Thank you. Is that a window key-in? Or where would I find that setting? Thanks.
It's MicroStation configuration variable, go to Workspace > Configuration. The variable exist in the default configuration, but it has no value, so just edit the variable and enter 1 as a new value. Not sure if MicroStation restart is required or not in this case.

As Jan wrote, you can make that change to the variable. Be aware that doing so will write that value assignment to YOUR .ucf file, so you'll be able to take advantage of this setting. However, if you have other users, they will not (unless you're using the same .ucf - not advisable). To make the change for all your users, you could cut that line from your .ucf file and paste it into your site configuration file.
Ah ok great, thank you! Unfortunately, when I click on the workspace tab, I do not have a "configuration" tab beneath it.
