Hello all,
Is there a way to override the level display of a nested reference? So for example:
I have open File A. File A is referencing file B which has a nested reference File C. While I'm in File A, can I change the level override of File C? Or do I have to go into File B to change the override for File C.
Thank you.
Hi,
if you set MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS = 1, you can change (override) level setting in the nested references.
With regards,

Hello Jan,
When modifying this configuration variable and (using Imitros's example) adjusting the level override settings for levels in File C while in File A, does this directly adjust the File B's level override settings for File C? Or Will the level overrides of File C set while in File A be separate from the level overrides File B has set for File C?
Sorry if that's confusing, but the only reason I'm looking to implement this is because in my case File B is used as a Nest Plan for various plan sets for the project I'm working on. If File B wasn't going to be used for other sets, I would have no problem setting the overrides for File C's levels directly in File B and letting them come thru in File A... But I do not want to adjust for example the color & linestyle overrides for File C while in File A if they will change the way they appear in File B as well.
Regards,Evan
Yes. the level overrides of File C set while in File A be separate from the level overrides File B has set for File C. Do it all the time.
