Hello all,
Is there a way to override the level display of a nested reference? So for example:
I have open File A. File A is referencing file B which has a nested reference File C. While I'm in File A, can I change the level override of File C? Or do I have to go into File B to change the override for File C.
Thank you.
Hi,
if you set MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS = 1, you can change (override) level setting in the nested references.
With regards,
Jan

What is it that you are asking? What is the 'this' that you want to find?

A better place to post your question would be the OpenRoads Forum.

Its about overriding levels in nested references ( i.e. dwg) in V8i it was MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS = 1
but I can't find it in OpenRoads.
You are right...I will post in in OR forum...

as Jon commented already, to extend 6 years old discussion, with question about another version, even for another product and moreover, to do not specify the product version, violates all best practices and rules.

Nothing like OpenRoads exists! It's OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition (+ specify version exactly), because to tell OpenRoads can be also V8i OpenRoads or OpenRoads Site Designer or even some other products.

I see MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS variable in my OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - 2019 Release 2 Update 7 installation (with undefined value).
If you not see it, you can create it, but it makes sense to ask in ORD forum why the variable is not defined.
That seems like a Microstation question so I'll try.
Same process for v8i and CE. Look at your configuration variables

Set it to 1 or create it if it's not there and set it to 1.
