[V8i - SS2]
Ever since XM this file (see attachment) has been popping up in a lot of directories and I don't know why.
Can someone tell me why this file is being generated and how I can prevent this?
The Microstation V8i Help is, as usual, of very little help.
At least in SS3, this file is written to the _USTN_HOMEPREFS directory; I don't believe there is a separate variable to control this individual file. This variable typically points at a directory in the user's home folder (and is where other user preferences are stored), so I'm not sure why it would be showing up anywhere else.
P.S. It should be noted that this file used to be written to MS_DATA, but I believe all V8i should be using the user preference directory, but I forget the exact version it changed.
