I have a specific file that is commonly attached--my topo--whose levels are frequently turned off and on, based on what I need at the time. Well, that worked for a while, but now, strangely, the file appears to be corrupted perhaps. When I have the level display window open, I can select any file other than topo, and it works fine. When I click the topo file, Microstation at this point freezes and gives me an hourglass. It is invariable. Sometimes the text for "topo.dgn" highlights, sometimes not, but from memory, all instances have been before the topo file's level listing comes up.
Surprisingly, when I'm directly in the topo file, I can manipulate level display all I want within the file and it is fine. But within that file, if I attach itself, it freezes in the same way when I go to adjust the display of levels.
I recently compressed it to see if that would solve the problem; it didn't.
I have a very similar issue but tried the solutions of making new .pcf..... no luck
As explained in this discussion it would not be the PCF file that would cause issues as it is a text file. Renaming or removing the UPF file related to your workspace is what was being recommended here. If it is still having issues then please supply the exception logs if it is crashing and logging as a new Service Request.
