Message Center Messages

I am getting the following message from message centre: "operation performed on non displayed model".

Is there any information that expands on the messages displayed.

I figure if someone has coded in a message to appear when an error occurs then they must understand the problem that causes said message.

  • Would you be able to provide further information to help explain what was being performed when this message appeared in the Message Centre. It would also be helpful if you could provide details of the full version number for Microstation. Example files or screen captures would also be of assistance.

  • The Message Center is used to display a running log of system messages, which includes informational messages, warnings, errors, etc. The Message Center dialog opens when the Message Center field of the status bar is clicked.

You can also right-click the Message Center field of the status bar and a pop-up displays that allows you to open the Message Center window, save the messages or open the Message Center Settings dialog.

From what you describe, this sounds like an informational message. But it is difficult to say with any certainty without more detail. In addition to what Andrew asks, are you running any first- or third-party applications on MicroStation? What specific tool are you starting when that message displays? Are you seeing this in one, some, or all files you are working on?

  • It seems this particular message is related to an operation being performed in MX Road. If you require further details regarding other messages that may appear in the Message Centre for MX Road it may best be handled in the Road and Site Design Forums.
