I've been dimensioning in MS for 25 years. It doesn't work now - see picture.
Using ABD seed file and ft-in dimension
I've changed the model to 1 to 1Made sure that Reference scale is off(It doesn't matter if on or off it uses the scale and relative to the original scale of the model)
I check the length - 1'-9" ALWAYSWHY THE HELL does my dimension SCALE - BY DEFAULT - ONE EVERYTHINGAnd I can make 6 other dimensions with 6 different dimensions even using hte same dimension style. Now that should not happen either.JOBS
This looks like the old thing from AUTOCAD where they would shrink down details then have do dimension with SCALED DIMENSIONS
WHY OH WHY did we follow a very bad AUTOCAD idea???STOP hiring AUTOCAD GUYS THAT DON'T KNWO HOW TO DRAFT.
REAL IS REAL - don't scale a demension just scale a reference onto a dimension. (For ease there are sometimes reasons but very rarly NOT on all files)
I understand ANOTATION Scale byt not a daily need for Dimension Scale. (And shy is it called Reference scale????? There is no reference file in this drawing to scale by.....????
HELP my work has stopped and since I've just install 6 other workstations - their work has stopped too.
Hi Eric :
I tested it with priority build “MicroStation V8i SS3 08.11.09.745” and each time I get the same dimension value (green), snapshot attached for reference. I am not able to reproduce the different dimensions (6 different) that you have placed.
Please provide the following for us to further troubleshoot.
Would it be possible for you to install the latest build of ABD and try and reproduce.
Regards, Leonard Jones
Hello Eric,
I tested your file on ABD SS6 which is the latest available and was not able to reproduce it also :-(
I just changed the color to green to differentiate from your dimensions.
