How do I convert metric units to english units.

Parents
  • Go to Settings > Design File > Working Units > change the unit from meters to feet or vice versa. The units will convert to the equivalent unit.

  • Eric Milberger, could you add a little assistance for me.

the standard I have to work with  Set units inches inches works, but actually they are in Inches and Custom

    which is tenths

I hope you can assist me on this or someone, I have tried VBA record several times, am not able to get to work

I tried to load the mdl DGNSET and get the key-Ins but when you load it, the keyIn section is grayed out.

The original post, and 's response, were in 2013.  I haven't noticed any post by him in recent years.  Eight years on things may have changed.

It's best if you start a new post.

    I have tried VBA

You don't need VBA to set your DGN model coordinate system.

When you post your new question:

    • State the version (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation you are using
    • Add a DGN file (menu Insert|Insert image/video/file) with a single model
    • State what unit settings you want to achieve

  • Thank you for the great advise, I saw the partial answer worked Set inches inches, so assumed it would be easy for someone who seemed to know the key-In so well. I had looked and looked, even in a MicroStation reference manual.

I will try to follow your information. not sure what the DGN file (Menu insert is ) I had added the pictures showing I was trying to open the CUSTOM section and then put in the numbers. So appreciate the input.

I sure admire some of the amazing helps you post online, Mind blowing to me, but amazing and so thoughtful of you to help so man as Jan does also. I read a lot of questions and you two show up a lot.
