Microstation V8i sp3
I am experiencing an intermittent problem with the small editing dialog not appearing when a function is initiated such as; "copy parallel", "copy", "change attributes", etc. I am not able to enter the proper data for the edit such as a distance. When this happens I am having to close out the file and reopen it to get the dialog box back.
Hello Dyna,
When you experience this problem, can you go to the Windows pulldown menu and see if Copy Parallel or the tool that is missing is listed? Will the dialog re-appear if you select it from this drop down?
Thanks,
Daniel Eng
This has happened to several of my users in Ss2.(BTW they are the same dialog called the Tool settings dialog)
There is a setting (and key strokes) that can bring back that dialog without exiting and re-entering the file.
Go to the Primary toolbar > Rt. Click on the PopSet button > Go to Settings > Turn On the Allow Ctrl+Space when Disabled > OK and next time the Tool Settings dialog disappears just hold the "Ctrl" key down and hit the "Spacebar" (Ctrl+Space) to bring it back.
The “PopSet” tool (if enabled (Green ball)) will automatically get rid of the Tool Settings dialog when you move into the working area of the view. I tend to disable it (Red ball w/diagonal line), but the Ctrl+Space will work either way.
I Hope This Helps Someone Reading This! (Intergraph>PseudoStation>MicroStation user since 1980's)
