We use MicroStation 8.11.09.357 on Operating System XP
We want to have a tool to make the use of MicroStation even more friendly.
Parallel Snap only works in combination with placed lines, we want to use it for more functions, like moving/copy ttext parallel on an existing element for example.
as example an existing placed block that I want to rotate parallel and snap on an existing element.
This would make the use of MicroStation even faster.

Ian,
thanks for your hint, but this is not what we are looking for, Place line Parallel Snap on a existing element is much faster.
For example:
We have placed a text with angle 0 degrees.
Now we have a line that is allready placed on 35 degrees.
We want that the existing text rotates parallel to the existing line, with a simple command. (like parallel snap).

Have you tried using the RE command (RE = Rotate Element).
If you select the items you want to move parallel, then type in RE and move the mouse over the line you want to set as the parallel line, the compass will set it self to that line, then you can move in the direction of the line.
