Is there a plan to update 3d tools ? I mean preasure modeling or something like on this movie ?
http://www.camdivision.pl/parasolid.html
Or just update tools
- for example change "keep profile" switch to do not deselect selected solids
- cut multiple etc. ( i'm posted few Times )
We talked about years ago ( 2009 ! )
http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/19565/p/16042/33305.aspx#33305
solid deform in few case is better than surfaces ( more clear )
once again see this movie http://www.camdivision.pl/parasolid.html
The cut multiple feature is there.
To cut multiple elements, select the element to cut, select the cutting element. Now hold the Ctrl key and select the additional cutting elements.
You can also select multiple elements to cut using the the Ctrl key to first select the elements, then select the cutting element.
Marti,
In my trad XMas post (just a few months from now) I'll list the next 10 3d things that could transform Microstation ... and...hmm... bankrupt Bentley (code is a very expensive thing, he he).
Heh Peter :) right
MickyKom the problem is that if you want to cut many solids you can't select it by shape, rectangle or something
you must select one by one ( by CTRL )
Thank you for suggesting this! The "bendy box" style of modeling is a very efficient, but inexact, way to model a complex surface. It is worth considering to include in a future release of Bentley modeling tools.
Regarding the issue of exactness, I am curious: what would you other users would use this tool to model? Is it good enough for conceptual modeling of something? Or is the lack of precise control of the surface a problem?

I would use this for something site making a quick topography.
