But Mike youtold me live during the class that posting Qs on the forum is not the correct place. I was the only person who did that, and you almost missed ny Qs. But you did have 6 other Qs that had been submitted via elsewhere. Can you clarify?

  • Hi Tom Foster,  Not sure how communication got mixed up, but short answer for clarification:  "Q's should be posted on the forum."   Thank you for being one of the first to submit questions on the forum.  Lorys Lea of Australia also submitted the question on Tags via the forum, thanks to him as well.

The sessions this week were the first of what we hope will be many sessions.  The purpose of the SIG is to continue the enthusiasm about MicroStation in the community built from the Bentley LEARNing Conference and the many regional conferences including the Bentley BASHes we had here in California.  The planned format is to use the Asynchronous method of learning (or Flipped Classroom):  1. pick a specific subject, 2. make video material available that interested attendees can study, 3. Conduct a one hour webinar review and answer questions. 4. Priority to questions submitted on the forum, but, answer in-scope questions submitted live.  5. Continue forum followup questions.

The SIG was to be tested with a local group first, but, others learned about it and wanted to join.  So, we changed the time of the webinar so we could have two, and cover a bigger part of the world.

Hope to "see" you on the next SIG webinar, Oct 29.

  • oh my.  communication, communication.    In my clarification above:  "Q's should be posted on the forum",  I should have said  "Q's should be posted here" ie replies in the string to the original post of the event."

A thousand pardons.  As I am sure you can see, I am new to posting on Be Communities, and having trouble with the lingo.  But, I guess it makes sense that the questions should be replies to the event post.  I hope this hasn't caused more confusion.
