  • Qs for today's Accudraw SIG:

    a) not strictly about Accudraw, but in Accudraw 2 how come the Tool Settings dialog seems to be docked inside or just below the Task bar? Really neat.

    b) at end of Accudraw 2, first curve of the racetrack, why does my 180o arc draw itself inside out i.e. back across the rectangle?

  • under tool settings for  arcs and circles see if little black pull down is available then see if CW or ACW is set ie clockwise  or anticlockwise...

  • Pretty good overall I even learned something too how to use accudraw to do draw at point midway between two elements ... man I could have saved heaps of time over the last year with that...

apart from the very poor connection and a few drop outs Mike the session content and presentation was pretty good or was it Tom or are they one in the same guy , brothers or just email  name pseudonyms....

looking forward to many more... and delving  more 3d...

  • Hey Tom it was great seeing you join the sig today ... say didn't you buy the adagebooks  ebook on accudraw by Keith Little?

Tech is great isnt it we were in australia and you in uk mike in usa and all same time in virtual class room... I love this stuff!

Dd you know you can do similar thing with Skype 1 on 1 share screen ( in free mode no video conference just 1 on 1 ) and demo how to do something on your pc live to another  skype user.. I have done it a couple of times that way to teach fellow user specific tool...not always mstn....

  • Yes, nice little gang building up! All v gd - much appreciated - tho OK with Accudraw I learned (or rehearsed, after KL's bk) a lot too.

Mainly chipmunk voice but occasionally slowing down to manly bass when the network caught up for a moment! But the visuals were often well ahead of the voice - so it seemed just the voice channel that was faulty.

How strange that after a yr of incredulously hopeless teaching resources, we suddenly have this top-rate stuff on offer (incl the Ask the Instructor parallel facility) for free (as it shd be if Bentley know what's gd for em).

Still, much much more needs to be covered. Interesting that 'advanced' things like Rendering and Projectwise are next up - maybe hope then for baffling topics like

Workspaces/configuring duplicate Datasets (to customise in)

Datagroup (unless, hopefully, about to be superseded/consolidated with Parts)

    Saved Views/Clip Volumes/Named Fences vs Callouts/Hypermodels

    Alternative strategies for Models/Referencing/File structure/Drawings/Sheets
