I'm using a cached reference for a saved view of a 3D model and I would like to hide specific lines. However, when I right click a line to hide it, it hides the entire object. Is there a way to hide only specific lines and not the entire object? If not with visable edges cached, then how?
Thanks in advance.
try this option before you settle on hiddenlines as this is what we do every day and NO more time to translate anything.

Thanks for the extra information everyone,
It's looking like the best method for my needs is to actually use 'Legacy' under visable edges, copy all the lines into the 2D drawing and then hide the view. I need to have fills, hatching, line weights in my drawings and sometimes there's no way to simply hide or get rid of some of the details that are in the 3D model. It's the same method I used with XM, but after seeing what Cached could do I got excited that there might be a better way.

See the following article on Cached Visible Edges
Regards,
I can produce ref files , nested ref files even self refed files and submodels as ref files as well as SAVED views in 1 file and use that as a reference file in another file.... but cached ?

George you may know, as I don't hve Plain Microstation to check this.
I know we now have a Dynamic View in Microstation.
Can it not provide what looks like a hidden line view in Micostation (just not hatching, patterning and line weights)?
If so, that would be the solution and still stay live.....??
