You cant really delete a LEVEL ( not layers thats autocad) if there is data on it you need to move data to a level you want to keep or rename elements level that are on now to another existing level then you can delete the empty level via the LEVEL MANAGER not the LEVEL DISPLAY manager

you need to buy a book or 2 on microstation aimed at new users .. I can recommend keith Little's survivors guide to v8 ( ebook $7usd ) and the xm update ( ebook $1usd) get these from www.adagebooks.com

you'll learn very quickly all the basics that are still the same in V8i and its the basics thats holding you up

Levels, level librarys, accudraw , reference manager and tools, customisation of F keys, scripts and keyins

cells ( blocks to acaders) printing these are the basics once you quickly master these you'll understand the help file and will be doing the advanced stuff like macro recorder for VBA...

First make sure the levels are in your file or coming from a dgnlib file. This is just a drawings with a different extension. Just a drawing. And levels should be kept here not in a file unless they are stickly for that particular file.
