I select the Place Text tool and type text into the dialog box style text editor.
I then press the 'Esc' key intending to move focus away from the dialog box, so that pressing the 'Enter' key will display the pop-up key-in dialog.
Instead, pressing the 'Esc' key closes the dialog box text editor.
Why is this?

curious whey do you need to work in text dialog style and not word processor......
which pop up key in dialog are you referring to? I dont get what your work flow is????

Hi Craig, make sure that "Allow ESC key to stop current command", in Workspace->Preferences->Input is unticked.
