When using the pull downs Utilities, Macro, Macros opens to the VBA Macroswhen I use the Alt+F8 as shown in the pictures it opens the wrong macros. How can I fix this function key. When I open the Fkey.mnu there is not evenan Alt anything key?
ALT + F8 Opens the Macros dialog box (this came from the AskInga Screen)Default button and function keys Updated 2009-12-17 to include V8iWhat do I put back in the command line to open the correct macros? I made a quick VBA routine that will open the correct macrospaste from VBA:Sub OpenVBAMacros()' 111913 - Alt+F8 was supposed to open the VBA Macros, I have no command' Start a command CadInputQueue.SendCommand "MDL SILENTLOAD USTNVBA MACROS"
' CommandState.StartDefaultCommandEnd Sub
You can see the Macros.... and it brings up the correct ones. I would like to do the same with Alt+F8
The above is from my screen and below is what I get when using the Alt+F8
This is my set of Fkeys rjbp_2.mnu I added the Alt+F8 key today trying to get the first set of Macos, but got the second set? any help for this ?
the macros command are for the old microstation basic macros ( like as in Texas Instruments Basic Language) not VBA macros or visual basic macros.. you want to load the vba browse tool try edit your alt F8 in Fkey menu edit
enter the following for your action VBA LOAD
this will bring up the last place you loaded your vba macros from or what is defined in your workspace config..
here is what the command did for me
but it doesnt run the vba you still have to keyin run vba and choose the module
I suggest you just use the project manager to load a vba and run a vba
but if you have a favourite vba that you use often you can write a keyin and save that to a F key combo of your choice that will load and run it with just the F key the keyin for the F key is VBA RUN [project name]module name.subprocedure

Thank you as well, I now see the dropdowns, I do use them I made a new project folder RJBP and It has the older macros in there, but I have not used them in a while and figured they may not run in V8i. I sure would like to know how to add a search path like you could do in Aclt. But not sure that will help on the script file direction. I moved mine to C:\Scripts, makes the Key-in @ information much shorter my script file was way down in the projects folder then in my folder and then a script folder. What a long @ line that made.
Thanks again to all who are willing to share time and knowledge.
