Hi all, Is use MicroStation V8i SS3 08.11.09.459
I have to change a lot of different texts to the same text. When I select the texts with Element Selection and use the command Element Information, the optionText String has a value **varies**. Unfortunatly I cannot change this value directly > Why not, is this a bug?When I use the button next to it the Word Processor appears, but when I change the text in the word processor only one text changes. Why not is this a bug?
WorkaroundI tried Find/Replace Text but my texts are to different to have a common search option. There is a workaround although to change the first expression to for example $ and then use $.* to find and replace the values. But this is a very devious way to reach my goal.
Is there a faster way?

In Find/Replace Text, with 'Use Regular Expressions' turned on, did you try using: .* in the Find field?

Hi Conor, yes this works! Thnx! I think it was the . (dot) that I forgot, I only used * which is a common operator.
