Hello,
Some of my users have a problem with the COPY VIEW tool, it seems that it doesn't copy the correct levels display from a view to another. We did teh tests on Windows 7 and Windows XP computers, and both OS can have the problem. The users told me they never had this problem until this week. Does anyone have an explanation for this problem, is there a configuration that could resolve it ?
Thank you for your help.
Gildas Lefort.
Hello Lefort,
Can you provide a little more insight to the issue?
What is the full version you are seeing this in?
What changed a week ago, new workspace, any Windows updates, new software installed?
Can you proved an example file and exact steps of what is occurring?
Thank you
Thank you,

We are using MicroStation Version 08.05.01.25.
Nothing changed recently on the impacted computers.
After checking another with the users, we found out that it's only the levels of the files in reference that are affected, and on all computers. Is this the normal behaviour ? The documentation is not very clear on that subject.
One word was missing. The correct sentence should be "After checking another time with the users..."
We thought we ought to see a complete copy of the levels displays, as you wrote, but that's not what we're seeing.
The master file's levels displays are correctly duplicated, but not the references ones.
Any idea how that could happen ?
If you could confirm if the levels attached in refernece files display OK but those in nested references do not then this was a known issue in earlier viersions of MicroStation and a Trouble Report TR# 103413 was filed.
I can reproduce in the build your using but not in XM or later.

The problem appears even in the levels attached in reference files, it doesn't have to be in nested refrences.
Thank you for your information.
Would it be possible to upload an example data set?
Please include exact steps, tools/ settings/ views you are using as well.
I came back to the users, and we finally constated that when they have the problem it is indeed with the levels in a nested reference file.
I'm sorry we took so much time to do the right tests, anyway, thanks a lot for your help.
