Dear All,
I want to create a linestyle with filled head and tail at the ends of line. How to create it using line style editor? Refer the attached screenshot
Hi Dharmarajan,
Have a look at the tutorial in this link:
communities.bentley.com/.../1148.aspx
(Also: communities.bentley.com/.../all-about-custom-line-styles.aspx)
Depending on if you want the line that 'connects' the arrow and the tail to be stretchable, and whether or not your linestyle should be repetitive, you should consider using just Stroke patterns in your definition, or use a base stroke pattern and add the arrow and the tail as a symbol.

When I use stroke pattern, the arrow symbol will be repeated at a interval of regular distance as show in screenshot(Red Color element). But the expected output is symbol should be available only at the end of line as shown in screenshot(Yellow Color element).
are you setting a fixed length for your stroke ?

I've been working with this for a little bit and it is simple to create a linestyle in such a manner except one problem. No matter what options I select to have it draw the single arrow the pattern always repeats. I have tried checking on Single Segment and also setting the Repetitions to Count Zero and Count 1. No matter how you define it the pattern always repeats.
I created a stroke with three segments. First segment is 1 unit long Second is 3 units long and the Third is 1 unit long. All are fixed length dashes. Segment 1 has a Width set to the Right Start and End are at 0.25 units. Third segment is set to Width Right Start 0.25 End .00 units.
At one time this was possible. Has something changed?

In addition to the tutorial that Henk has suggested, what you can do if you only want the symbols to appear at the beginning and at the end of the line is to set the symbols for the "Origin" and "End" in the point component. For example, when you create your point component, select the box marked "Origin" and then hit the "select" button to choose the symbol. Repeat this for the "End" option and then set your base stroke pattern and add this to your compound line. This should get you the linestyle with the symbols appearing only at the beginning and end of the line.
