Any ideas?
Feature list?
Hi Peter

Let's see if we're able to explore bugs / imperfect tools in next release......
I'm not banking on a new version of MicroStation, incl. early access, this year.
What I can't understand is that if Autodesk can get a new version out every year (granted some are better than others) why can't Bentley. We have had the same version of MicroStation for about 4 years now, with probably 2 or 3 new versions of BA or whatever it is called now!, released in the same timescale!!
according to the downloads page:

or do these not count ?

We could probably pull together a what's new list also if that helps.
@Tim
Some do some don't. We've been down this road before about via Multi install and according to Bentley SS releases are not considered Major release. But thats all semantics. The real question is what major functionality as been added in the past 5 years relative to what the competition has done.
@Stuart
Autodesk has over twice the employees and 4x the revenue. They also have fewer products to maintain. That said there does appears to be and disproportional amount of resources going to verticals.

That's Bentleys problem for spreading themselves thin.

I agree. They seem to have moved focus away from the original MicroStation product. Not all of use the verticals, or want to for that matter.
Appears you were right as the next version of AECOsim has been released!! Hope is fading fast that we will see another commercial release of MicroStation this year.
