Is there a direct way to read, or view, or import ai and eps-files with ustn?
If not, what free windows tools can be used to get it into ustn?
(it doesn't happen often, and I can get help - so I don't bother buying or learning other programs)

What application creates an ai file?

Adobe Illustrator.....and they attach as a raster reference.
Apparently, you can simply rename it from file.ai to file.pdf, so MicroStation can recognise it as a candidate for referencing.

I've never had to rename them, just use "All files" in the dialog box.
