Fonts.

Hello,

I would like to know little bit more about fonts and rsc files. Therefore, I have some specific questions:
Does the Font names always has the same font numbers?
Can there be a situation where the same font name has different font number? When can such situation arise?
How can I make my  own rsc file?

Why is ther different RSC file in RSC library?

  • Fonts have 2 characteristics that will affect character spacing: width and kerning. Kerning determines when two adjacent characters can overlap. For instance, when you write AT, the leftmost part of the T bar may actually be positioned LEFT of the lowest part of the right branch of the A. Although fixed width fonts may allow kerning, it is rarely the case.

Anyway, if you want to choose a fixed-width font, you can use the following text

    • IIIIIIIIII
    • HHHHHHHHHH
    • AAAAATTTTT
    • ATATATATAT

And for the size of fonts (Tiny Font) will be the best here you can change size and style of fonts.

  • Bentley kept a specific arrangement of conventional textual styles in the "font.rsc" that they provided with the product. I have seen a portion of our customers changed the "font.rsc" provided by Bentley.

Does the Font names consistently has a similar textual style numbers? NO Because various clients created them.

Could there be a circumstance where a similar textual style name has distinctive text style number? Indeed Users didn't stress over the Name = # then again, actually they made their own textual styles doled out to certain # and didn't have any desire to abrogate them.

When can such circumstance emerge? It emerges constantly at whatever point you have an asset from an alternate customer.

How might I make my own rsc document? Bentley is pushing the utilization of TT Fonts rather than .rsc text styles. Bentley no longer enables the overall client to make rsc text styles however permits the clients to oversee what they as of now have.

For what reason is there various RSC document in RSC library? Bentley supplies specific nonexclusive asset textual styles with the product "font.rsc and internat.rsc". If you have extra .rsc records they most likely came from different sources. Recall that M-Sta Custom Line Styles are too .rsc documents. You can open them with Notepad and you can for the most part tell whether it is a Font or Line Style asset.
