If I use the note leader call out to number an item say D2 there doesnt appear to be away to copy increment the leader like you can with text... I think we need a tool to do this as its pretty standard work in cad..
Currentley I have to just do a place note leader ( with a space for the text give in line leader line) then place the first one on the element to label, but dont use text then I place all my note leaders where I want all the others to be in the right places then use copy increment text to make D3 etc this works but the text and leader are not associated...too bad place note doesnt have a copy increment text ....we can get round this but its all time consuming and prone to error and means lots of typing is too slow.... using a place note with copy increment built in would awsome... looks like its a job for VBA...
Sorry Lorys, this post seems to have been missed. Would you be able to supply an example with some screen captures to show the tools you wanted this operation to occur within. It seems this may be associated with the callout tools operation. Did you want this as a software enhancement or an operation defined in VBA?

I think its pretty obvious you place a note leader with a circle call out ( or other ) you want the first one to be annotated with a number say 10 then place it now if you could use a tool that let you place another leader and allowed for increment just like our increment text then the next placement would be 11, 12 etc we could all go make our own vba so several hundred hours wasted effort by all users globally when it should be a standard option in the place leader or copy increment leader ( a proposed new tool) ... otherwise Bentley should create the tool as an addon like Atool or civtools...
I have resorted to creating a cell and just edit them after placement once I have them all placed but it seems like a lot of double handling what ever way I do it...with the existing tools.

Thank you Lorys. I just needed to clarify which tool you were working with as you mentioned both Place Note and Callout in the original description. I will see whether an Enhancement Request has already been raised and log a new one if not.
sorry the tool is place note but that kind of note in drafting school and text books is called a callout or leader bubble
what would be cool is set the first number and increment then copy and increment or an extra option to increment start number and interval
just like the increment text lets you we need increment "leader note"
