Hello,
I am new to Microstation V8i SS2.
I have tried to export a dgn's level list to a *.csv file but do not get the levels as I would expect consistently. My workflow is to select Level Manager->Levels->Export. But inside the *.csv file, it shows per attached image. Some of the seed files I have exported levels from, work fine using the above workflow, but not always, as mentioned above. What am I doing that sometimes allows me to export levels and sometimes not?
When you perform a Level Export from the Level Manager it will export all of the levels that are physically located with the design file you have open or those that contain elements. What can happen in the Level Manager is that it can be displaying levels here that are not physically located in the open design file but are actually within a Design Library. These levels would only list as being available to use within the Level Manager dialog but are not physically in that design file. Further information can be located in the following BE Community Wikis.

I have about 1700 levels. When I use LM to export I only get a handful. Anyone seeing this?
It may be a good idea to post a separate item rather than adding your query to a resolved 5 year old post. There is also no indication which version you're using or whether it would be related to the version reported here.
ABD CE U4 which I believe is based on Mstn CE U11.
I think it is useful to link to related posts. It provides an indication of the duration that the problem has been around unresolved.

It is useful to link to related posts. Create a new post with a link to that previous post.
In this case, you've asked a new question in a thread that is already marked as having been answered (over 5 years ago). Your new question will receive less attention than it will as a new post.

I think if you create a filter of used levels you can then export the levels
otherwise open your file outside your work environment ie no workspace then the dgn libs are not used and you can export only what is used ...
