Dividing a line

Question

Ho can I devide a line in equal segments (in Microstation) in one command? 
 In example in AutoCAD this can be done by the divide command.

Hello, 
 The Point(s) Along Element tool , might be what you are looking for. It can be found in the Points tool box (from menu Tools > Tool Boxes , then turn on Points ) or from the Drawing Task by expanding the Place Active Point icon.

This only marks the point doesnt divide a line into segments mean the line is nolonger continuous... 
 but as I dont use acad I dont know what divide command does? why dont we find out from mstn 
 ok if you want to know thequivalent tool from acad to mstn from the keyin window type DWG then expand the window to see all the acad commads then run it and boom equivalent mstn tool runs so you learn what the tools are faster... 
 
 I did theis with DWG divide and construct points along as suggest by bentley does indeed pop up... 
 Another example of the problems of acad speak when in a mstn forum...

You can use Accudraw to snap to any number of points on an element by setting the Keypoint Snap Divisor. This is good if you do not need to break the line (you only mention you need to divide it, not break it). With Accudraw having focus, hit the "K" key on your keyboard. A new dialog will pop up. By default I believe this is set to 2 so Accusnap will snap to the 2 endpoints & the midpoint of an element. Set it to 3 and you will snap so there are 3 equal segments of an element. If you need to break an element at these points you would then need to draw a line or place a point at each snap location and then break it.

If your wanting to divide in two equal segments by breaking it then the snap tool should already be set to keypoints and accusnap active by default then from the modify tools use the break point to break it at the key point by bringing the mouse near the centre it will show the snap ( like orthosnaps in acad) graphic and data point to accept ... 
 the keyin is TRIM Break BYPOINT you could add this to an F key if you need it alot 
 I just drag the modify pallete to edge of screen as I use the modify pallete alot.. 
 
 Read up on the keypoint divider function too its pretty cool lets you change the keypoint from default =2 to any number to equal divide usful for placing holes equal spacing when you dont know the spacing and other uses but dont forget to put it back to 2 or you'll go mad!
