Fisrt, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I can't figure out anything Bentley today.

I want to *exactly* align one element with another. The align tool draws a rectangle in the XY directions around the base element to align edges in the XY direction.
I want to take an element and align its whole self, rotated and translated, with another element. This could be a rectangular block that I no longer want oriented in the XY direction, a text element, whatever.
I can rotate an element and eyeball it pretty close, but close is not good enough for what I need to do. It has to exactly match the rotation of the base element.
Advice?
Thanks,
David
David, there is a "Align 3D" tool (from Solids Modeling tools) that used to move a selected element, solid, surface, or profile to be aligned to another solid, surface, or curve element. For example, you can move one solid by a face to the face of a second solid, or move a surface by a defined plane to another surface by defined plane, or move a profile perpendicular to the tangent of a curve.
or there is other tool "Align Edges" (from Manipulate tools) that is used to align an element to an edge of another element.
