Need Help! I have a client that requires all files in V7, I have V8 (2004), but not all functions carry over in a save down. I've looked for being able to purchase a version of V7 with no luck. Any assistance would be great.
I think if you are SELECT subscriber, you can ask Bentley to provide you the license, but this version is not supported for a long time.
But in my opinion it would be better to post your question to MicroStation V8 2004 Edition forum and to discuss how to convert your designs to V7 format correctly. Many of my customers creates V7 files (usually because they are processed by other applications that don't support V8 format) in different V8 version without problems.

In addition to Jan's comments, can you post here an example V8 file that does not convert correctly to V7?
Bentley Systems put in a huge amount of effort to ensure fidelity during the conversion process V7<=>V8. They will be interested to see evidence of problems in MicroStation's compatibility.
If you can't post a sample file here, file a Service Request (SR) with Bentley Systems and send your file in confidence to them.
