How to enable cursor to read special mouse buttons

Hi all! I have a somewhat frustrating task I want to enable a mouseclick to a special cursor. You find the buttons assignments under the menu Workspace\Buttons Assignments... Is it possible to make MicroStation recognize special mouse buttons, Such as Forward and Backwards Those buttons are located near the thumb on the Mouse. Has anyone any experience of this? For the Record, Normal mouse buttons, such Left and Right mousebuttons can I define and assign to various task, no problem.

Best Regards David

I am using MicroStation

  • When using mice with more than 3 butons, use the software that comes with it to configure the buttons. For example, I used to use Microsoft Explorer mice with 5 buttons. The driver that came with it allowed me to go into the control panel (under Mouse) and configure each of the buttons. For the extra 2 buttons, simply configure them as function keys. Then under "Workspace", "Function keys", assign an action to the function key.
