When upgrading to V8i, my mnu-files don't load automaticly anymore. The files are located and defined at $(HOMEDRIVE), and this is also where I'm directed from the dialog box for manual loading. So everything seem ok, the congiuration variables are set correctly, the "homedrive" and the mnu files exists, but the files are not loaded at startup. I hope someone might give me a clue on this one.
Have you also defined your cusomized menu file?
Hope this helps.
Where is MS_FKEYMNU pointing? (Open 'Workspace -> Configuration' and check).
If it doesn't point to $(HOMEDRIVE)[yourMNUfile] you've got your problem.
MS_FKEYMNU is pointing at $(HOMEDRIVE)[myMNUfile] (e.g: $(HOMEDRIVE)Funckey_xm.mnu).
This files is not loaded at startup. When using the menu: Workspace -> Function keys... / Button Assignments...-> File -> Open..., I'm routed to the correct location as default, and [myMNUfiles] exists at this location.
I'm thinking maybe there might be something about the order my variables are set....
($(HOMEDRIVE) is set to my personal network user area)
Your button menu is specified with the "MS_BUTTONMENU" configuration variable. If that variable is not defined, it looks for a file called "default.btnmenu" in your MS_DATA directory.
Function key menus are specified with "MS_FKEYMENU" configuration variable. If that is not defined, it looks for a file called "funckey.mnu" in MS_DATA.
