This should be an easy one, but I can't find the answer anywhere.
What is the correct syntax for specifying the V8i version in a config file?
For example, for version XM in the config I say: %elif defined (_VERSION89)
What is the number for version 8.11? I tried _VERSION811, but that doesn't work.
mdl l cfgvars printCfgVarResource
Still dumps it as _VERSION89 - Indicates that the current product's version number is 9.x. (_VERSION89)
That's the first commercial release of the product. _VERSION89
_VERSION_8_11 is the further commercial release of the product, for example Select Series 2, or 3.
The config variable is generated automatically by the application at start up.
Some of us administrators use this as key in determining which site config to use where we have multiple versions distributed on our networks.
Version 8.9 is XM edition
Version 8.11 is V8i which definitely is different platform
So the dumped variable is wrong as V8i doesn't set _VERSION89 at all but creates _VERSION_8_11 variable.
