Once we set Geopraphic Coordinate System in our DGN file we can synchronize view with Google Earth. Is there a way to synchronize view with Google Map?
(MS SS1 .180)
We don't currently offer this feature, but it's been discussed and may be included in a future version of MicroStation.
what about Lat, Long coordinates (on the screen: 3.168, 51.804)? Can I grab these values somehow?
I can then try to make a link like this:
I have seen an example from a danish DOT, where they take the coordinates from MicroStation and uses a webservice to convert them to Lat, Long. It would have been easier, if MicroStation was able to do this...
For references mapki.com/.../Google_Map_Parameters holds quite a few helpfull tips.
MS SS1 gives you real geo Lat+Long so we do not need to convert them outside MS. Problem I have is how to take tentative snap XY (Lat,Long) and put to my link.
Are you able to get Lat+Long even in a file that uses a projection? That is a trick I would like to learn!
As regards to how to get the point to Google Street View, the example I saw, used MVBA. I do not know MVBA, but i know copy+paste, and I've tried to cut out the essentials:
Dim x As Double
Dim y As Double
Dim ie As String
x = .x
y = .y
ie = "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Shell ie & " maps.google.dk & Trim(Str(y)) & "," & Trim(Str(x)) & "&z=19", vbMaximizedFocus
Guys from Bentley PL (thanks) did vba for me. Works nice!
video how to set Lat, Long
(and then run vba)
