I have a Cell Library [with hundreds of Cells] I need to remap data from one Level to another.
Cells were imported from DWG block Library directory.
Some data is on Level named '0' which is the DGN Default, so I cannot simply rename the Level as it wont allow me to do so.
So I need to remap data inside each of the 2 hundred or so Cells... so I need to traverse Cells in the process... has anyone done this before? Thoughts?
This will also be the case for the thousands of DGN files which are to be migrated from DWG to DGN..
When you converted these from AutoCAD did you have rights to create levels? If you did not then they are put on the default level. When you converted them you should have been able to set up a translation table for the layers to convert from one name to the other. We used these to convert from V7 to V8 and they work great if your standards were adhered to. I would confirm you have rights to create a level by simply opening level manager and creating a new level. if this works you should be able to convert them and get the level names to translate.

you can create a level:
level create Newlevel
and move elements from default
level element move dest:Newlevel default
How about using batch process for file the files that are already in dgn format
