Hi, I have a question about level priority.
I have a Design Model with some filled elements on different levels and a Sheet Model. I have made a Saved View in the Design Model and attached and scaled that saved view as reference to my Sheet model. Here come's my question: when I change the color of an element in the design model, the color automatically changes in the sheet model. But when I change the level priority of a level in the design model, this change is not implemented in the Sheet Model, not even with Update Levels, How can I achieve this, Is there a tick or a variable which I have missed? I don't want to change the (level) priority also in the Sheet Model!
What MicroStation version (i.e. v##.##.##.##) are you using?
We use 08.11.07.443 : this behaviour occurs to all our users (80!).
think there must be I minor change in MicroStation: here is the problem again:
I (as the CAD manager) have made a levellibrary.dgnlib and used the variable MS_LEVEL_LIB_DIR
The users have a design model with some elements drawn on levels from my level library (all priority on zero). When they make some priority changes in the design model, those changes are not implemented in the sheet model! And when they use Update Levels in the sheet model, the levels are updated from the library and not from the design model. I don't want to set the priority in the levellibrary (because the users want to change it by themselves). Here is the change requist: there must be a button somewhere (reference dialog) to Update the levels from a design model and not from the library.
This thread may have a config. var. to fix the sync to library problem:
